The time has flown by since US Nationals finished and now I find myself in Bend, Oregon. The last two weeks have been very eventful and I managed to come away with a win at the Leesville Gap Road Race. I owe my victory to my Nana who cooked me an amazing pre-race dinner and breakfast and to my awesome teammate Heather Van Sickle who sacrificed her energy in order for me to take the win. Also, a big shout out to my husband who drove me there and back and followed in the support vehicle (I wanted to impress him so I sprinted faster than usual). Read the full race reports here:

After the race, it was off to my nephew’s third birthday party and then straight to Tahoe the following morning. Tahoe was magnificent! Perfect weather, lots of good food, and great company. I enjoyed training at altitude (sort of), hanging out with my family, and watching le Tour de France. Ahh… Nothing is better than le Tour!
Yesterday morning, Luke and I drove five hours to Mt. Shasta and I did efforts up the HC climb before passing out into a plate of hummus. This morning we finished the drive to Bend, Oregon where we were greeted by our amazing hosts. Bend is a great city and I’m looking forward to spending the next eight nights here. This week is the Cascade Classic: 6 days of pain up against the top pros! Stevens is going to have a great team and I can’t wait to climb some treacherous mountains!
Go Cadel!
